If you plan to enter Thailand on the new 60-day visa-exempt stamp, you’ll often need a roundtrip ticket. Some students have reported airlines either denying boarding or asking them to buy a return ticket at check-in.

1. Is a job placement guaranteed?

Provided you make an effort to apply for jobs, and present yourself properly at an interview, then you will secure a position. Thailand has an abundance of opportunities due to a shortage of teachers, and we’ll guide you to prepare for interviews. Success depends on presenting yourself well. Dress smartly, be punctual, and cover tattoos, as appearance matters a lot in Thailand. Everyone who followed our advice and wanted a teaching job secured one. However, if you show up in shorts and flip-flops, or looking like you got mugged on the way, your chances will drop significantly! 😅

2. Do I need a BA degree to teach English in Thailand?

Legally, Thailand requires a BA degree to teach, but there are ways to work legally without one. Bangkok, Chiang Mai, and Pattaya have high demand for teachers, so approach schools confidently with your TEFL certificate.

If you don’t have a BA degree:

• Skip online applications and directly contact agents or schools.
• Talk to principals or directors and express your interest. If they like you and offer a job, they can hire an agent to help secure a work permit.
  

Always ensure you work legally in Thailand with a work permit.

5. What's the daily schedule like?

You’ll attend classes from 9 am to 4 pm (Monday to Saturday). Sundays are usually half-days, giving you time to relax and explore.

Thailand’s high demand for teachers gives you excellent job prospects if you prepare well and present yourself professionally.

7. How safe is Thailand?

Thailand is very safe—often safer than the UK or USA. However, exercise caution on the roads, as traffic can be unpredictable.

8. What's the deal with visas?

10. How do I get to Koh Samui, Pattaya, or Chiang Mai?

Fly into Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi Airport, then:

11. When should I arrive for the TEFL course?

Arrive two days early to recover from jet lag and ensure a smooth start. If you’d like to arrive earlier, we can help arrange your hotel. Don’t arrive late!

12. How do I pay for my TEFL course?

You can pay in full for a discount or choose monthly installments. Use credit/debit cards, wire transfer, or Wise for secure and affordable payments.

13. What if I need to cancel, change dates, or request a refund?

We can’t offer refunds because we start organizing your program immediately after payment. However, you can:

• Change your course start date or location (subject to availability).
• Hold your seat for up to 2 years if an emergency arises.
• Transfer your seat to a friend if you can’t attend.
• We aim to make the process as smooth as possible!

14. What should I pack for Thailand?

Pack light! Essentials are widely available locally. Even if you’re staying a year, pack as if it’s for a week. Laundry services are cheap and everywhere.

15. Is there a code of conduct on the TEFL course?

You can dress comfortably, but we expect professional behavior at all times. Disruptive actions, rudeness, poor hygiene, or arriving drunk or hungover won’t be tolerated. Anyone breaking these rules may be expelled without a refund!

16. Can I extend my stay in Thailand after the course?

Yes! Many graduates stay longer. We’ll help with job placement and visa extension advice.

17. Do I need to be a grammar expert to succeed in the TEFL course?

Not at all! We cater to all levels, and you’ll learn everything you need during the program.

18. Is the program all work and no play?

No! While we take your education seriously, our sessions are fun and engaging, with plenty of free time for you to relax and explore.

19. How can I immerse myself in Thai culture during the course?

We include Thai language lessons and cultural outings to enhance your experience.

20. Is the program inclusive of all backgrounds and beliefs?

Absolutely! We welcome everyone but ask trainees to avoid discussing political or religious beliefs during the program.

21. Do I need insurance and vaccinations for Thailand?

Yes, comprehensive travel and medical insurance is mandatory. Consult your GP for vaccination recommendations.
