1. Is a job placement guaranteed?

With an abundance of jobs and a shortage of teachers, securing a job placement simply relies on your ability to present yourself effectively at an interview. Your preparation and professionalism play a pivotal role. Dress sharply, arrive punctually, and cover up those tattoos, as your appearance holds significant weight in Thailand. Anyone who wanted a teaching job in Thailand, and who followed our advice, was able to secure one.

2. Do I need a BA degree to teach English in Thailand?

While a BA degree is a legal requirement to teach in Thailand, there are some legal avenues for those without one. High demand exists, especially in Bangkok, Chiang Mai, and Pattaya. Dress well, carry your TEFL certificate, confidently approach schools, walk in and smile.

If you don't have a BA degree, there are some legal options:

Firstly, skip the online applications. Instead, reach out directly by calling agents and visiting schools. Talk to the Director/Principal and express your interest. If they like you as a teacher and offer you a position, your employer can then apply for a waiver with the relevant local government departments.

3. Where does the iTEFL Thailand Experience program take place?

Our 1-week intensive TEFL courses are held north of Chaweng beach (Koh Samui island), and Central Pattaya near soi 2.

8. What's the deal with visas?

Most nationalities receive a 60-day visa-exempt stamp upon arrival, with the option to extend it for another 30 days in-country. 10. How do I get to Koh Samui, Pattaya or Chiang Mai?

Fly into Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport, then catch a short flight to Koh Samui or Chiang Mai with www.bangkokair.com or www.airasia.com. Take a bus ($10) or taxi $60) to Pattaya.

11. When should I arrive for the TEFL Course?

Arrive two days prior to beat jet lag and ensure a smooth start. If you need to arrive early then we can arrange your hotel for you. Do not arrive late!

12. How do I pay for my TEFL Course?

Pay in full for a discount or opt for monthly installments by Credit/Debit card or wire transfer. We prefer www.wise.com which is safe, cheap and secure.

13. What if I need to cancel or change dates or request a refund?

Once you've made a payment, we start organizing your program and booking your accommodation. Unfortunately, we can't offer refunds under any circumstances, but we're flexible in other ways. You can change your course start date or location, depending on availability. If an emergency comes up and you're unable to travel, no problem! We can hold a seat for you for up to 2 years. Alternatively, you can pass your seat to a friend. We're here to make sure your experience with us is as smooth and enjoyable as possible!

14. What should I wear and bring to Thailand?

Pack light; essentials are available locally. Even if you plan to come for a year, pack as if you're coming for a week. Cheap laundries are everywhere!

17. Is there a code of conduct on the TEFL course?

Comfortable clothing is allowed but professional behavior is a must. Anyone who is disruptive, rude, smelly, drunk or hungover will be expelled!

18. Can I extend my stay in Thailand after completing the course?

Yes, many graduates choose to stay longer, and we assist with employment and advise on visa extensions.

19. Do I need to be a grammar whiz to succeed in the TEFL course?

No, our program caters to all levels of grammar expertise.

20. Is it all work and no play during the course?

While we take education seriously, our sessions are engaging and fun and you'll have plenty of free time.
